- Ericsson Optical Multiservice Edge 6500, combines and extends the advantages of the market leading Ericsson next-generation SDH/SONET and metropolitan DWDM platforms in a complementary manner. The OME 6500 is a global platform that can be deployed in both SDH and SONET environments supporting a broad mix of services ranging from E-1/ DS-1 private lines through STM-1/4/16/64 and OC-3/12/48/192 private lines and high-speed data connectivity.
